8. Less Raw Recap On SmackDown
For quite some time now, Raw has had a three hour run-time on television and SmackDown has two hours of air on the following night. Now think of how much of that two hours on Tuesday you have spent re-watching what happened on Raw.
Some weeks it feels as if Raw has been on for two consecutive nights, which was only worsened with the wildcard rule atrocity. But with WWE Backstage coming soon and SmackDown getting a decided rise in focus, this trend will be changing quickly.
In fact, due to the move to Friday night, it may end up reversing roles and having more of SmackDown's highlights making their way into Raw's long three hour window. But the hope we all have is that it will lead to a full on separation of the two entities, meaning more actual content for wrestling fans.
Delivering the fans what they want or doing more of the same will be a decision WWE will have to make, but the choice should be simple. Bringing quality matches and promos whilst delivering less video highlight packages will do wonders to keep people watching through all five hours of the red and blue shows each week from now on.
