The new WWE Champion and his former protégé are yet to cross paths in anything other than multi-man matches to date but a showdown between Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman seems inevitable down the line. Strowman made his main roster debut as a member of The Wyatt Family back in August 2015, helping Bray & co get the upper hand on Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns.

Strowman was eventually split from The Wyatt Family as a result of the 2016 WWE draft, a move that Braun has since described in interviews as being 'heartbreaking' for him. Why? Up until that point Bray Wyatt had acted as Braun's true mentor and teacher in the professional wrestling world, not just on television but behind the scenes as well.

The two rode and travelled together, and Braun has commented that it was Bray who would give him the most advice and the most encouragement, pointing him in various directions and to various sources for further knowledge. Bray even referred to Braun as 'Evil Windham', stating that Strowman was able to do all the things that Bray could not.

Bray will surely be proud of the progress his protégé has made since leaving the family, and a showdown between the two will be a fascinating prospect regardless of whether it happens sooner or later.
