Since leaving WWE in late 2011, Morrison has enjoyed an eclectic indie career, travelling the world and competing for a number of very varied promotions. This stands testament to his unique persona and in-ring style, a point also reinforced by the sizeable scalps he's collected over the past few years - including a couple of very important Japanese stars.

In January 2013, Morrison appeared in Dragon Gate, defeating company stalwart Akira Tozawa - a man now, of course, making a name for himself in WWE after a very impressive series of performances in the Cruiserweight Classic.

Just a few months later, Morrison then defeated the legendary Jushin 'Thunder' Liger at a PWS event during WrestleMania weekend - a very impressive victory indeed.
