10. DX Say Goldberg Not WWE Hall Of Fame Worthy

Although both men were out of action in November 2010 (Triple H was selling an injury and Shawn Michaels had retired at WrestleMania XXVI), that didn't stop the DX boys for making headlines and causing a bit of controversy.

The two reunited for a series of media appearances intended to promote the forthcoming WrestleMania. They were asked by SB Nation's Jason Kirk about the possibility of Bill Goldberg entering the WWE Hall of Fame during an online interview.

Triple H, who has a long-standing real life feud with 'Da Man', had this to say:

As far as the Hall of Fame goes, it's tough. We have a unique business, and we try to do a legitimate Hall of Fame. We try to honor the guys that deserve it. To the guys that go in, it's something special...when you say, 'What about Goldberg,' no offense to Bill, but you've got guys like Bruno Sammartino that were legends with longevity that should be in there, but they're holding out because they think they've got one more run. Just using Bill as an example, how many years did he wrestle? Not many.

It wasn't so surprising that The Game questioned Goldberg's HOF credentials: the two men have never gotten along. What was more surprising, however, was when Michaels chimed in with the following:

To me, he's not even in the ballpark...Not because he's not talented, but greatness doesn't happen in a few years. Greatness is established over a long period of time. We try to promote people and get them over, but you can't do it that quickly. In our line of work, there are other qualities that make somebody viable besides just whether they're tough or not. In every other line of work...like if you're a lineman who can't play, everybody knows you can't play.

Many fans have been clamouring for a Goldberg Hall of Fame induction and with real, headline performers whom they can induct quickly running out, he will no doubt receive the call from WWE one day.

Goldberg responded to the criticism in a classy manner, tweeting that 'I read HHH and HBK's views on the WWE HOF....everyone is entitled to their own opinion' and 'They do have a point if induction is based on tenure'.
