10 Things You Didn't Know About WWE In 2010
6. The Raw Crew Were Stranded In Europe Due To Volcanic Ash Cloud

When a volcano erupted in Iceland in April 2010, it caused a giant ash cloud to hover over Europe. This meant that air travel was severely restricted. Unfortunately for WWE, its Raw crew of superstars was finishing up a European tour when all of this went down.
Many Raw superstars couldn't make it out of Europe and so Smackdown talent (their crew had made it out of Europe) were drafted in to fill in for them. The April 19th episode of WWE Raw was renamed 'Monday Night Smackdown' and boasted matches such as The Undertaker versus Jack Swagger (before Swagger was reduced to jobber status) and HHH, Mysterio and Edge versus Punk, Jericho and Gallows.
Lillian Garcia, recognising that her then-former employer was in a jam kindly volunteered her services for the night. Her reward for this act of selflessness? Triple H took a dig at her over the house mic for having a 'horse face'.
Classy.
The Raw crew made it back home safely later in the week.
