10 Things You Didn’t Know About Mickie James

9. More Than Just Horses…

Of course, horses weren’t her only interest in her formative years, because Mickie also had another passion that would remain a huge part of her adult life; music.

During her days at school, she spent five years paying the violin, and on her website recalls how she “would walk around the house with a boom box recording myself and give the tapes to my mom”.

So I guess you could say that Mickie’s always been a performer in some form or another, and in many ways that musical background will surely have lent itself to the entertainment-based world of WWE. Still, it wasn’t just a gateway into wrestling, because as touched upon previously this is something that’s stuck with Mickie way beyond her childhood.

Back in 2009, whilst on the road with WWE, she started recording a country record and went on to release two full studio albums; Stranger & Angels in 2010 and her 2013 follow-up Somebody’s Gonna Pay.
