Rechner first entered the crazy world of professional wrestling aged 15, performing as Abbudah Singh in his native New Jersey. Seven years later, he would finally start to make a wave or two in the legendary Smokey Mountain Wrestling promotion, then ran by Jim Cornette.

Rechner was performing under the name Boo Bradley Jr. a take on the character Boo Radley from To Kill a Mockingbird, and was aligned in a villainous faction with real life friends Chris Candido and Tammy Sytch. Boo's aesthetic didn't quite match that of Candido and the future Sunny, making the three quite the sight.

Candido and Sytch would constantly abuse Boo, which led to them eventually turning on the poor Bradley. How exactly did they complete the turn? By killing his pet cat, of all things. Yes, the ultra-traditional SMW ran a story where a babyface was created thanks to the death of his pet cat.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
