10 Things You Didn't Know About Bam Bam Bigelow

1. Was Put In His Place By Andre The Giant

Shortly before Bam Bam left the WWF for the first time in the Summer of 1988, he had a match at Madison Square Garden against the legendary man mountain himself, Andre The Giant. To onlookers, the bout likely looked like any other match on the card, but Ted DiBiase tells a story about how Bigelow stormed into the locker room afterwards, claiming that he was on his way out of the company. Apparently, Andre quickly followed, telling DiBiase that he'd decided to teach Bigelow a lesson during the bout due to his poor attitude and sizable ego since joining the promotion. Bret Hart also writes in his autobiography that whereas Bam Bam was a nice guy on the whole, he did believe a lot of the hype surrounding his signing with the WWF, and it went to his head pronto. Imagine someone the size of Andre taking liberties with you inside the ring, hitting you with potato shots designed to take you down a peg or two? That's the kind of thing nightmares are made of, but it's one such nightmare that Bam Bam Bigelow lived for real. What other facts or stories do you know about Bam Bam Bigelow?
