5. Place In The Triple Threat Was Threatened
Upon leaving the WWF, Bam Bam Bigelow joined ECW, a promotion he'd work routinely for over the next two years or so. Forming the 'Triple Threat' stable, alongside Shane Douglas (flanked by his manager, Francine) and Chris Candido, the unit was solid, and in typical heel faction fashion, looked out for one another in storylines. Looking at any photograph of the group together, it looks like the perfect mix - Bam Bam was the enforcer, Douglas the World Title contender, and Candido the pure wrestler of the three. All members seemed to mesh well, and it all made sense, but Bam Bam wasn't the first man considered for the stable. Lance Storm was the first choice, with the feeling being that he'd be able to form an exciting tag-team with Candido, while Douglas held the ECW Heavyweight gold. History would dictate that it would be the incoming Bigelow who would slot into the group however, helping make the Triple Threat one of the most memorable stables in ECW history.
