9. Heenan And Gorilla Cried Together When Their Run Ended

Despite being at odds during their entire run as on-screen co-hosts and commentators, it's a well known fact that Bobby Heenan and Gorilla Monsoon were actually very close friends behind the camera. In his first biography, Bobby referred to Gorilla as "the most honest, gentle, intelligent man I ever met." When Vince McMahon decided to take his TV product in a different direction, the Heenan-Monsoon combo came to an end after a nine year run. Arriving at his hotel after their final night of recording, The Brain went straight to his room, where he found a giant fruit basket waiting for him - and it was all bananas. Laughing at the sentimental rib, Heenan invited Gorilla over to enjoy the basket with him, and two wound up crying and reminiscing for over an hour. Bobby would visit Gorilla constantly during the final years of his life, and the two talked on the phone on a weekly basis until Gorilla passed away in 1999.
