10 Things You Didn't Know About Booker T

6. Harlem Heat Had The Most WCW Tag Title Runs

Collectively known as Harlem Heat, Booker T and Stevie Ray were one of the better-known tag-teams in the WCW duo division. Incredibly, the brothers would have the most combined reigns as WCW Tag-Team Champions, winning the belts a grand total of 10 different times. An auspicious start in the tandem ranks had Ray and Booker go under the names Kane and Kole respectively. Even though they were still going under the Harlem Heat moniker for most of this time period, the brothers shocked a lot of people by initially being led to the ring in chains (!?) by their manager, a rich, white benefactor known as Colonel Robert Parker. Needless to say, this wasn't a popular move, and the blood brothers were quickly allowed to play characters which better reflected their real-life personalities. As late as the Halloween Havoc Pay-Per-View in 1999, Harlem Heat were still winning the WCW Tag-Team Titles. The team's first reign happened in 1994, and 9 subsequent runs with the belts followed over the next 5 years.
