1. Sabu Was P***ed Off With The Finish To His Rey Mysterio Dream Match

After a disappointing match versus Psicosis at the 2005 event (Rey was carrying an ankle injury at the time), Mysterio was determined to tear it up with ECW icon Sabu in what was a first time dream match for Rey's WWE World Heavyweight Championship. And what a little cracker it turned out to be.

Rey, wrestling in old school ECW tights, put on a hell of a stunt show with the suicidal, homicidal, genocidal Sabu. Everything was running smoothly and they had the crowd in the palm of their hands. Until the finish. Sabu put himself and Rey through a table to the floor with a breathtaking triple jump DDT. It was a definite 'holy s***' moment, in a match full of them.

Then WWE doctors came out, took a quick look at the wrestlers and declared that neither could continue. Huh? So we were meant to believe that Sabu, a man who once glued his bicep shut after he had torn it open on barb wire, couldn't continue because he went through one measly table?

It was bulls*** and everyone knew it. None more so than Sabu himself, who was said to be furious about it. WWE kinda booked themselves into a corner with the match: they didn't want to have Sabu lose at the Hammerstein Ballroom, but they also didn't want to make him their World Heavyweight Champion. So they came up with the no-contest finish.
