When thinking of who may have been a particular influence on the in-ring style of Eva Marie, it might come a little out of left-field to hear that she spent a time studying the beloved ECW battles of Super Crazy and Tajri.

Extensively trained by Brian Kendrick, Eva revealed this nugget of information in a 2015 interview with WWE.com.

As Eva put it during that chat:

"Every night, Brian gives me homework, which I go home and study. I’m watching so much! Right now, I’m watching a lot of Super Crazy, Tajiri and a lot of ECW and Japanese women’s wrestling."

In that same interview, Kendrick himself explained that he was keen for Eva Marie to study that specific pair of opponents as he wanted Eva to pull inspiration from Tajiri when it comes to using high kicks in place of punches and forearms, and likewise he wanted her to try and pick up some of the high-flying flavour of Super Crazy.

It's clear that Brian Kendrick wanted to try and implement a hard-hitting, fluid approach to Eva's in-ring style. Whether that ever truly came to pass, you can be your own judge.
