10 Things You Didn't Know About Grado

1. People Told Him His Act Wouldn't Get Over In North America

Signing on to be part of British Bootcamp in 2014, Grado is now a full-time member of the Impact Wrestling roster. During an interview with Across The Pond Wrestling to capitalise on his exposure, the Scot told how many laughed off suggestions he could connect with a North American wrestling audience.

As aforementioned in a previous entry, Grado's act is distinctly Scottish in tone. Comedy in the United States is obviously different (for the most part), so there were worries that Grado would struggle to get over with a crowd who didn't immediately identify with him. Plaudits must be given to Grado for sticking it out, some must find it tough to embrace him.

Having been on TNA television for almost two years now, Grado is a valuable member of the mid card. He still performs regularly for other companies, hence his upcoming appearances in WCPW, but he has been able to make a name for himself in the States.

That's something not everybody was sure he'd be able to do, so it's to Grado's great credit that he's made a splash.
