Chris Hero is best-remembered for his tag-team alongside Claudio Castagnoli (WWE's Cesaro) in Ring Of Honor. Known as The Kings Of Wrestling, the duo were formidable, winning the ROH Tag-Team Titles twice. On top of that, they even emerged victorious from the Tag Wars Tournament in 2010.

Hero became a cherished part of the ROH fraternity, but it wasn't always that way. Before becoming involved with the Philadelphia-based promotion, he worked for another promoting out of the same area.

CZW favoured a hardcore style, one that clashed mightily with the traditions upheld by ROH. The situation was ripe for a rivalry.

In late 2005, Hero challenged ROH to a war. He'd then go on to face Bryan Danielson (Daniel Bryan) for the ROH World Title, before bedding nicely onto the ROH roster himself once the main feud was concluded.

From there, Chris Hero became a favourite with fans of the company. His style was a good fit for ROH, and there's no doubt his time there led to later interest from WWE.
