Since leaving WWE Tajiri has wrestled mostly in Japan, but he did indeed have a briefer than brief spell in TNA in 2014. His presence there was to help build towards their biggest show of the year, Bound for Glory, which in 2014 was broadcast from Tokyo, Japan. Tajiri took part in the main event of the show, teaming with The Great Muta to go up against James Storm and The Great Sanada.

All of that looks great on paper, but it came with one major problem. Tajiri had generally been wrestling as a heel in Japan, and the Korakuen Hall audience wasn't ready to forget that for one night, no matter how treacherous Storm and Sanada were. This resulted in three quarters of the main event competitors being booed on TNA's biggest show of the year.

Tajiri wrestled a grand total of four matches with TNA, with only one of them being a singles bout. He managed to win that one however, defeating Robbie E.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
