10 Things You Didn't Know About Tessa Blanchard

2. Drinking With The Bar

WWE/Impact Wrestling

Not content with doing job duty on NXT TV, Tessa Blanchard also found herself included in one of the best WWE backstage segments in recent memory. Sheamus and Cesaro seemed forever joined at the hip in combat, slugging their way through a best of seven series before being forced to team together by then-RAW GM Mick Foley. The odd couple tag team is old hat, but the European duo found a way to make it work, largely through chemistry and a love of bar fighting.

It was the end of November 2016, and Sheamus was enjoying a pint at the Blackfinn, wherever that may be. Cesaro joined him at the bar, the two traded barbs before a fight broke out, a scuffle that ended with the Celtic Warrior and the Swiss Superman standing tall, united by beer, vodka, broken pool cues and insurance claims.

Before Cesaro turned up, Sheamus was joined at the bar by a strangely awkward looking lady, none other than Tessa Blanchard. She didn't order a drink but was handed a glass of red wine, she didn't say anything but sort of smiled at Sheamus or just beyond him. It was a strange cameo for one of the most impressive female wrestlers on the planet, to say the least.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
