10 Things You Didn't Know About Trish Stratus

6. She Turned Playboy Down

Trish Stratus
WWE

It has been said on a number of occasions that the success of Trish Stratus caused Vince McMahon to change his hiring policy when it came to World Wrestling Entertainment. From Trish on Vince wanted models, models and models, regardless of wrestling ability. If they were willing to pose for Playboy, even better.

As with most of her career, Trish is an exception to this. She was hired as a model yes, but she made her career as an in-ring competitor. Of course, her success has seen her approached by Playboy on a number of occasions, but she has turned them down each and every time.

Trish wasn't exactly a prude on TV, with a lot of her early segments being provocative to say the least. She has resisted the temptation (and surely huge payday) to reveal everything though, and more power to her for that.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
