The Nitro Grill had one thing that separated it from other wrestling-themed disasters like Hulk Hogan's PastaMania - Sitka were determined to made the menu edible. No, not literally - people weren't chowing down on pieces of paper and decreeing them delicious. The actual food itself was superior quality.

That gives WCW a tick in the quality box WWF New York/The World couldn't boast about later.

Not everyone was sold though. Gayot Restaurant Review were largely positive about the venue's lively atmosphere, but said the food was only "fairly good". Translated, that means Nitro Grill was the three-star Michelin eatery of the wrasslin-themed restaurant world. It actually served dishes that didn't taste like boiled plastic.

Again, anyone who visited WWE's attempt in Times Square back in the day couldn't say the same. New York/The World's food was, without being too harsh, pretty crap, and it was clear visitors were there to soak up the company atmosphere more than the menu.

WCW's place had better reviews.
