10 Things You Didn't Know About WWE Elimination Chamber

3. Shayna Baszler Was The First To Run The Field

Former cage fighter Shayna Baszler's tear through a series of fights in a cage was unashamedly brutal and broke a record in the process that had been preserved for 17 years. The stipulation needed it just as much as the wrestler herself, and ahead of a pandemic that wrecked everything anyway, Baszler’s dominance was an almighty and unexpected step in the right direction.

Credit must go to the parade of victims - Natalya took a wicked leg right to the face when she had her head smashed in by 'The Queen Of Spades'. Liv Morgan absorbed terrifying damage after an eye-watering giant swing into the plexi-glass by the former NXT Champion. Her Riott Squad stablemates predictably fared no better.

It appeared as though Asuka would suffer the least, until a conclusive finish threw her in the heap too. Baszler shunted her head almost clean off her shoulders, then choked her out like all the rest. This memorable and committed rehabilitation job achieved its lofty and impressive aim for the night, even if the follow-through was doomed to fail.

Braun Strowman also has the honour of taking out five in the Chamber, but was unfortunate to be in a seven-man one that he lost to Roman Reigns in 2018.
