1. Charlotte Was Arrested For Assaulting A Police Officer During Family Incident
Before she was producing classics in NXT, Charlotte Flair (real name Ashley) was making headlines for all the wrong reasons. Charlotte was tasered and arrested on September 5th, 2008 after allegedly kicking a police officer after law enforcement officials were called to the scene of an incident involving Charlotte, her father and Charlotte's boyfriend Riki Johnson. The three were, apparently, involved in a fight in a parking lot of a Chapel Hill, North Carolina apartment complex. Slic Ric was left bloody and bruised but refused to press charges. Charlotte was charged with assault on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest. For her transgression she was sentences to 45 days in jail (later suspended to supervised probation and a $200 fine). During her probation she was required to seek drug and alcohol treatment and was subject to random drug tests. As she entered her guilty plea, Charlotte said she was 'sorry'. Ric and his daughter are doing just fine these days and Flair accompanies Charlotte to the ring at some NXT events.
