10 Things You Learn Attending 12 WrestleManias In 13 Years

9. Triple Check The Distance Between Cities Within The Same State

Before you all shake your head and think I€™m an idiot, hear me out on this one, it€™s important if you€™re ever attending Post Mania TV shows. In 2003, at 18 years old, I decided after going to WrestleMania and RAW in Seattle, Washington, that since SmackDown was in Spokane which is in the same state, I€™d head along and check out that show.

I just thought since they€™re in the same state, there€™d be a train I could get and I€™d get there in a couple of hours. Imagine my horror when the receptionist at the Red Roof Inn in Seattle alerted me Spokane was SIX HOURS AWAY. It was Noon, there was no chance of us getting there, so my friend and I went to go back up to our room when the friendly guy at the desk said he got off work at 1pm and was going to the show and he€™d drive us there and back. Being 18, we thought that was a great idea.

The only problem was when we got to SmackDown, Matt, the clerk who drove us there actually wasn€™t going to the show just wanted the drive to Spokane and back which was strange. I fell asleep on the way back to Seattle and woke up to us in a field with Matt staring at us. We got back the Red Roof Inn alive and hey, I got to see Sable€™s return live.
