Months earlier, Perfect was creating magic in a more traditional setting.

If you find yourself down a rabbit hole on the WWE Network and need more gems to watch, then this 'Loser Leaves Town' classic is for you. On the 25 January episode, a mere 24 hours after both had worked in the 1993 Royal Rumble, Perfect and Ric Flair produced an essential piece of business.

It wasn't too common back then for TV matches to last long enough that the WWF needed to take commercial breaks. Raw had ushered in that trend, but it was still a relatively new concept for Vince McMahon to wrap his head around. Somehow, despite the ad breaks undoubtedly acting as a nuisance, Perfect and Flair made them work.

This is fascinating stuff for several reasons. Firstly, it was Flair's last appearance for the company until returning in 2001. Secondly, it was a bit of a soft 'f*ck you' to McMahon for suggesting that the 'Nature Boy' was too old for him to push.
