Anyone who knows this writer at all could tell you he's an nWo mark. However, he doesn't have any love in his little Hollywood heart for WWE's version(s) of the famous group. As cool as the nWo was for a spell in WCW, it...just didn't work in the WWF/WWE.

Hulk Hogan needed to return wearing the iconic red and yellow, not the monochrome madness he'd pioneered alongside Scott Hall and Kevin Nash down south. That's what federation fans wanted to see, and it's clear when watching his earliest appearances in the company from February onwards that nWo was actually holding Hulk back.

Sorry, but it's true.

Nearly nine years had passed since he'd last been on Raw, and WWF loyalists were super-happy to see Hogan. All of that excitement was tragically dampened by the nWo colours he was sporting and the fact his spotlight was diluted to include focus on Nash and Hall.
