By June of 1996, both Kevin Nash and Scott Hall were waving goodbye to the WWF and forging a new path in WCW. Hanging up their Diesel and Razor Ramon outfits, the pair would help form the original nWo and turn WCW into a money-making machine.

Right before leaving the WWF, Diesel produced some of his finest matches. At In Your House 6 in February, he worked a wonderful Steel Cage encounter with Bret Hart for the WWF Title, all before facing The Undertaker at WrestleMania XII. It must not be forgotten that up until facing Diesel, 'Taker had rarely had a good match at 'Mania.

The match with Diesel was Undertaker's best on the annual supershow to date. Nash followed that stirring bout by shining again opposite Shawn Michaels at In Your House 7 in a No Holds Barred brawl, his last pay-per-view before heading to WCW.

That trio of matches must be considered Diesel's best form in the WWF; he was on fire as a brash heel before departing the promotion.
