Next up, Charlotte and Natalya clashed in what ended up being the best women's match on the main roster in a long, long time. With Ric Flair at ringside, Natalya dedicating the bout to the convalescing Bret Hart, and the impromptu decision that the contest would be for the Divas' Champion, the affair turned quite heated. Both Divas, naturally, gave it their best shot. Unfortunately, the finish left a lot to be desired. Natalya caught Charlotte in the Sharpshooter, and the Divas' Champion began crawling toward the ropes. When she drew near, Ric Flair grabbed her hands, but he didn't attempt to pull her any closer to the edge of the ring - he seemed to be consoling her through the pain. Natalya pulled Charlotte away from Flair, but then broke the hold anyway to confront "The Nature Boy." She threw a slap at Flair, but that allowed Charlotte to roll her up - and get her feet on the ropes - for the pin. It was a pretty disappointing ending to such a great match. In the end, the bout was... well, still pretty awesome, actually. There was no ruining that one.
