In October 2004 Omega appeared at the NWA 56th Anniversary Show, coming up short in a match against then-X Division Champion Petey Williams with the title on the line. The match went down well with everyone it needed to, and as a result Omega came close to becoming a full time TNA talent. 'Came close' probably isn't an accurate assessment of the situation, but Omega's name could be added to the list of great talent missed by TNA.

Omega was taken to TNA by a man called Quinton Michaels, who claimed they would receive 'royal treatment'. This royal treatment didn't quite materialise, and it took Killer Bees enthusiast Jerrelle Clark vouching for them as wrestlers to get Omega and Michaels past security. Things did not improve from there.

Omega was placed in a trailer and did a whole lot of nothing, The other chap that he was with began rolling around in a ring that hadn't been put up at that point, and Omega had already seen enough to know that he wanted nothing to do with this. He wandered off around Universal Studios instead, only returning to see an Ironman match between AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels at the end of the taping.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
