10 Times AEW Got Into Serious Trouble

8. When Max Caster Performed THAT Rap

Everybody loves the Acclaimed, but everybody hated Max Caster in 2021.

Great when he punches up, he's equally as bad when he punches down - and he's just about learned where the line is, although he's always prone to saying something that is at least questionable. He had no idea where the thing was at all two years ago.

A 4chan wrestler at his worst, he was on Rotten form when making his entrance on the episode of Dark taped on July 28, 2021.

"The Acclaimed kicking ass for miles / we'll make you claim mental health like Simone Biles".

That was his opening gambit, and while he's a heel, it was still ugly in itself before one considers the genuinely important, bold and sensitive approach AEW has taken with the issue elsewhere.

"The Sydals gonna pay the cost / I'ma treat those bitches like Duke lacrosse"

Reprehensible. No matter what happened with the case in question, far more complex than the settlements dictate, Max Caster made a stupid joke making light of rape. That is far easier to parse.

He also insinuated that the COVID-19 pandemic was exaggerated, and that Julie Hart's vagina smelled.

He was suspended, and he learned his lesson.

Hopefully, this irrefutable evidence that cancel culture doesn't exist continues to inform his promos going forward.
