10 Times AEW Took Advantage Of WWE Ignoring The Fans

2. CM Punk

Roman Reigns, CM Punk
AEW

Once a 'Voice Of The Voiceless', CM Punk is now speaking for just about everybody that reaches a certain point in their life and wonders if they can still do what they used to be able to. It's a beautiful little story being told beautifully, thanks mostly to Punk's deft touch for details that hasn't remotely departed him over the last seven years.

Seven years. Seven years on the outs of the industry he was born to be enormous in, and all because a monopoly meant there was nowhere else that could pay him competitively enough to do it.

From promos to commentary to the matches themselves, Punk is proving every word from his iconic Pipe Bomb promo to still be true, and is doing it with the view of telling yet another rich multi-year story in the company that's already mastered the art.

His wins are exhausting physical challenges that are won mentally, gradually building his confidence and informing the gravitas of his first eventual defeat. And this is his first story!

Seven years.
