10 Times AEW Were Moments From Disaster

6. The Post-Revolution 2021 Dynamite

Daniel Garcia
AEW

Worst case scenario to absolute best in the space of two hours of impeccable television.

This was the story after the story and the most embarrassing moment in AEW history until the top draw and the executive vice presidents had a locker room fight. An Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch was supposed to end not just with the promised carnage, but an epic Eddie Kingston babyface turn in protection of his doomed brother-in-arms Jon Moxley. Abysmal and pathetic pyro killed the sentiment stone dead.

The realest guys in pro wrestling brought that back to life, in sync with the biggest a*sehole heels mocking it in their own inimitable style. "69 Me Don" was immaculate patter from Kenny Omega and Don Callis as they mimicked Kingston covering Moxley from the "damage", right as they literally survived a trial by fire talking about real trauma against the fakest of circumstances and promising revenge against The Elite.
