10 Times Children Got Involved In Professional Wrestling
5. Ian Rotten's Son Wades In With A Kendo Stick
IWA:Mid-South is an independent wrestling promotion run by Ian Rotten, the once-tag-team partner of Axl Rotten. Though the promotion has found success hosting matches of a more technical nature (including a 90 minute match between Chris Hero and CM Punk) it was founded on the gruesome hardcore style and still books many deathmatches to this day. As you will discover, children attend these deathmatches. They also occasionally get involved. During one such match back in 2008, Mike Levy, an indy wrestler, was battling Mickie Knuckles in what supposed to be a simple inter-gender jokey squash match. Levy fought back and used some weapons, which owing to his inexperience, ended up causing a knot on Knuckles' forehead. Apparently, she was set to film for TNA in the next few days, and such a thing could jeopardise that, which ticked off the folk at IWA, so they began to murder him. They legitimately kicked the holy hell out of Levy, stamping his face into ladders and cracking him with crutches as he moaned in pain. They don't seem like the nicest people. As Rotten cuts a scathing promo on the bleeding man, his 11-year old son John grabs a kendo stick and asks for his dad's permission. Permission is granted, and the boy leathers Levy in the back. As he tries to crawl away, the kid gives him a kick in the head for good measure. Yikes.
