10 Times Chris Jericho Has Put Over Fresh Talent

1. AJ Styles (2016)

Given the headlines made by Styles' jumping ship in early January, it was imperative to treat him like a big deal from the get-go. The night after Styles' Royal Rumble premiere, he entered into a feud with Jericho, beginning with a pair of 'friendlies' on Raw and Smackdown. The two split wins, headed into a match at Fastlane to determine the better man. Although Jericho kicked out of the Styles Clash (which caused something of an uproar among fans), he did ultimately submit to the Calf Crusher, after an eternity of trying to fight off submitting. It really was a masterful selling job by Jericho, who treated the hold like it was the most painful in an industry filled with torturous moves. They'll likely meet again at WrestleMania, but Jericho's already done his part to make Styles look phenomenal, pun intended, before the WWE audience.
