10 Times ECW Went Way Too Far

5. Chair-maggedon

In one of the most replayed, memorable moments of ECW history, Terry Funk and Cactus Jack got a little more than they bargained for when they tried to partake in some audience interaction. At Hardcore Heaven 1994, The Public Enemy interfered in a match between Funk and Cactus and attacked both men. As the hardcore legends fought back against the Enemy, Terry Funk asked for a steel chair from the crowd. What happened next is one of the most surreal images in wrestling history, as dozens and dozens of chairs flew into the ring, so many that they completely buried The Public Enemy. While it's an exciting visual, and no-one was too hurt, knowing what we know about steel chairs now it's kinda scary. Terry Funk takes chair to the back of the head and immediately uses it as an opportunity to fall down and roll the heck out of the ring, but if that chair had been and inch lower, or at a different angle it could be an entirely different story. ECW got lucky that this incident went as well as it possibly could, and thankfully everyone made it out of the ring okay. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xRFqhmm9xHA
