10 Times Famous Wrestlers Shared A Nickname
4. Brock Lesnar and Dan Severn
This one makes a whole heap of sense.
Brock Lesnar made his return to the WWE in 2012, attacking John Cena the night after WrestleMania XXVIII. Since then, he's been a multi-time World champion, main event WrestleMania countless times, and has become a figure of ridicule and hatred for his apparent lack of passion and his infrequent work schedule.
Lesnar was partnered up with Paul Heyman upon his return, who quickly gave him more catchphrases and nicknames than many thought humanly possible.
One such nickname was "The Beast Incarnate", which is often shortened to "The Beast". If this sounds familiar, just imagine Brock with a moustache, and you might remember why.
Dan "The Beast" Severn spent about a year in the WWF during the '90s, most famously reaching the semi-finals of the 1998 King of the Ring tournament before losing to The Rock.
It isn't just a nickname that Dan shares with Brock.
Both men are accomplished MMA fighters - Brock is a former UFC Heavyweight Champion and Severn was one of the men who helped get UFC off the ground. They're both also former amateur wrestling champs and incorporated their legitimate fight backgrounds into their wrestling personas.
So, the lesson here is - if somebody has the nickname "The Beast", don't mess with them.
