10 Times Kevin Nash Was The Absolute Best

9. Survivor Series 1994

Diesel Rey Mysterio
WWE

If the Royal Rumble was the night Diesel got over, Survivor Series several months on was the place he became a made man.

Already the apple of Vince McMahon's eye, 'Big Daddy Cool' was booked brilliantly in a thrilling opener pitting his heel team against a Razor Ramon-led babyface alliance. At 21:45, the match wasn't even the longest elimination war of the night, but the first pinfall wasn't even registered for 13 minutes, because Kevin Nash hadn't gotten in there. WWE used to be so good at details.

As co-captains, the entire story revolved around Diesel and Shawn Michaels. The former wasn't tagged in, while the latter didn't want to be. When he did, it was after Diesel had eliminated everybody on the other side apart from longstanding rival Razor Ramon. Flattening the whole crew with Jackknifes really did make the taller half of the Tag Team Champions look invincible until he took a superkick in the face from his own partner.

A wonderful match and a wonderful split, all to kick off a WWE Championship run that felt like it came out of nowhere, even if the clues were hiding in plain sight.
