10 Times Promoters Sided With A Wrestler The Locker Room Hated
5. JBL
For as long as there has been professional wrestling, there have been locker room hard-assess who have been used to keep talent in line. It may not be as prevalent in today's world, but these figures would slap the taste out of someone's mouth in order to maintain a level of professionalism, respect and morale behind the scenes.
Of course, whether slapping a co-worker around can ever be deemed professional is a whole other topic, yet these figures were viewed as locker room leaders who would make sure people weren't acting like d*cks. While Hardcore Holly is often viewed in this light, another of Holly's locker room pals of yesteryear who tried to do the same was John Bradshaw Layfield.
In Hardcore's instance, he'd step in at times when he thought a 'lesson' needed teaching. For Bradshaw, he'd just lay into the supposed weaker members of the locker room merely for sh*ts 'n' giggles and to try and earn a spot at the Undertaker's domino table.
By all accounts, a substantial portion of any roster that shared a locker room with JBL couldn't stand the fella. Regardless of the countless issues the braggadocios bell*nd bully had with his fellow wrestlers over the years, this never phased Vince McMahon - as highlighted by the fact that Bradshaw spent 14 years employed as an in-ring talent, had a WWE Championship run, and has continued to work in various roles for the company in the years since he hung his boots up in 2009.
