There were one or two reports in the build-up to WrestleMania 34 that blood would be off the table completely, owing to a New Orleans rule which prohibits wrestlers from drawing colour when performing in the state.

If this is true, then you would presume WWE is now going to find itself with a heavy fine to pay. Roman Reigns bled profusely in his main event clash with Brock Lesnar, his face at the end of the match covered almost entirely in the sticky red stuff.

This is even more weird when you consider what happened the last time the Beast Incarnate was tasked with busting open a colleague "the hard way". On that occasion - back at SummerSlam 2016 - we nearly got a look at Randy Orton's brains.

The takeaway here is that wrestling - in general - is really, really weird. If they were intent on having The Big Dog bleed here, why didn't they just give him a pouch of ketchup to pull out of his pants at the opportune time? If it's good enough for Hollywood movies, it's good enough for WWE.
