10 Times Superstars Buried WWE's Hierarchy

William Regal would have been proud of such besmirching...

Darren Young has become the latest WWE superstar to speak out about something he isn't too happy about. Young, who is returning to action from a serious knee injury, has bemoaned WWE's decision to go to Abu Dhabi on tour, a country where homosexuality and women are looked down upon. This is a real sticking point for the former Prime Time player as he revealed to TMZ that he is in fact gay in an off the cuff interview just before SummerSlam 2013. Young tweeted:
€œWhy do we bring the best entertainment into a country like abu dhabi and they look down upon women and gays? I get it! #MillionsofDollars€
The tweet was later deleted, but Young followed up by saying: "My freedom of speech is gone. Gone but not forgotten" and "I feel like no one has my back and it upsets me. The struggle is real. I'm human." Homosexual relationships are illegal in that part of the world and women are made to cover up. That puts the WWE Divas and the now openly gay Darren Young in an uncomfortable position. It goes without saying that huge international tours like this one means big bucks for WWE. But, as we've seen plenty of times throughout history, this episode has made the company look a tad unethical and severely lacking in compassion. It looks like WWE made Young delete that first tweet but allowed him to air his gravenesses in a more subtle way. Here are more examples of WWE superstars past and present speaking out against the company and some of its decisions.
