10 Times Superstars Buried WWE's Hierarchy

7. Batista Buries John Cena & WWE's Creative Team

As well as seemingly trying to kill Batista in the image above, the leader of the Cenation has been accused of killing the wrestling business by The Animal himself. We're all aware of the former World Heavyweight Champion's views on the shift to PG programming in recent years. It's the reason he left the company in 2010. But Dave went one step further in an interview with in December 2011. He claimed the PG direction only works for Cena, who was loved by children and women, but hated by real wrestling fans. He bemoaned the way Cena was booked, criticising the WWE's creative team and Vince McMahon. The former Evolution member calls Cena €˜Mr. Hokey€™, €˜Mr. PG€™, and specifically states that he €œkilled hardcore, edgy wrestling.€ To a degree this is true. The story lines are weaker than they once were and there is less in the way of real hard hitting, more hardcore action in the ring. But WWE has christened this era 'The Reality Era' due to the fact they see most fans as smart marks for the inner workings of the business. More reality based story lines in the ring wouldn't go a miss, Vince.
