With Danhausen having made his WWE debut at Elimination Chamber this past weekend, subsequently followed up by an appearance on Raw last night, there are now some details on the Very Nice, Very Evil's signing.

Per Fightful Select, Danhausen's AEW deal expired on February 28, which follows previous reports that his All Elite contract had been extended to February despite the talent asking AEW not to extend his deal due to time missed through injury.

As for the mystery crate reveal that culminated in Danhausen's Elimination Chamber appearance, this report notes that Danhausen was always planned to be in that crate from the first moment it showed up on Raw several weeks ago. Of course, Danhausen would've still been under contract with AEW at that point, though Fightful says there were no real issues in terms of him negotiating a deal upon his exit, and highlighted that, while there are provisions in contracts that limit what can and can't be negotiated, it eventually gets to a point where there's a more relaxed nature to things and "all sides geneerally look the other way".

It was also mentioned that it was pretty much always intended for Danhausen to use his name and gimmick, though there may have been pitches to make certain tweaks to the character. Following comments from the Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer that Danhausen's signing was not a "unanimous decision" behind the scenes, Fightful pointed out that tends to be the case with many signings. From those the outlet spoke to in WWE, it's expected that Danhausen will be used across multiple brands, including possibly AAA.

In terms of the mixed reaction from the United Center crowd to Danhausen's Chamber debut, a WWE source believed that so-so reaction would actually fit the Danhausen character well. And while that debut felt a little flat, Danhausen's appearance on Raw last night was a lot better, shown in a backstage segment where he demanded a blimp, a Hall of Fame induction (this year), a personal assistant, a cameraman, a "point" photo with Triple H, and his face to be on all production trucks... before an interaction with the Judgment Day saw Danhausen curse Dominik Mysterio, with Dirty Dom subsequently losing his Intercontinental Championship to Penta later in the night.
