10 Times Triple H Actually Made Legit WWE Stars

The occasions critics don't want to talk about...

'Triple H buries everybody and only got to the top because he married Vince McMahon's daughter'.

That narrative has stuck like mud to Paul Levesque since he was thrust into WWE's upper-tier towards the end of the 90s. Without wooing Stephanie, the critics say, he would never have made it past the upper-midcard or become part of company furniture. An obvious abuse of power has let Hunter bury countless promising stars, they claim.

By doing so, they conveniently forget all the workers he's put over.

There's no need to pretend. Triple H did temporarily squash the hopes of Rob Van Dam, Booker T and a few others. He did beat Sting in the ex-WCW man's very first match when it would've been better to let him win and secure a few more big paydays on pay-per-view. However, and this deserves to be italicised too, he did help make some of WWE's biggest success stories over the past few decades.

These are the occasions Triple H's biggest haters don't want to talk about, because they don't fit the blinkered narrative that he's a selfish spotlight hog who purposefully flattened every attempt to build fresh stars...
