10 Times Triple H’s Ego Ran Wild In WWE

9. René Duprée's Attire

Though his name has largely been lost to Ruthless Aggression's history books, René Duprée's WWE run was more eventful from most. He became the youngest wrestler to ever wear WWE gold when he was World Tag Team Champion at 19 years old, went to rehab following a Wellness Policy violation in 2007, and fell afoul of many wrestlers backstage, including notorious curmudgeons Bob Holly and John 'Bradshaw' Layfield. It'd be a stretch to include Triple H in this group, but 'The Game' did move to undermine the French-Canadian back in the day.

As disclosed in a 2016 interview, Duprée was asked to visit the company costumiers to take measurements for new attire early in his career. All seemed well when they took his details, but problems arose when it transpired that his biceps and chest were bigger than Hunter's, and as Triple H apparently couldn't handle being outdone by a relative rookie, he asked that Duprée's measurements be marked down a couple of notches.

A pinch of salt would be wise, as this is a one-sided story, but it has since been corroborated by Rip Rogers, who was affiliated with WWE until 2008.
