10 Times Vince McMahon Was Dead Wrong

9. Having Hulk Hogan Induct Savage Into The Hall Of Fame 2015

The 2015 Hall of Fame ceremony was not the WWE's finest hour in terms of both the planning of the event and its honorees. Vince had to have "the last laugh" when it came to Randy Savage and allowed the wrestling world a quick glimpse at the real Vince when he insisted Savage's real-world enemy, Hulk Hogan, induct the Macho Man. It's no secret that Savage harbored a great deal of animosity towards Terry Bollea. Rumors of supposed peace between Hogan and Savage were one-sided and the credibility of the man making that claim is shakier than Yokozuna playing Jenga on ice skates. Furthermore, Randy Savage should have been the headliner, alive or not, out of respect for what the man accomplished in the industry. A classier man would have inducted the entire Poffo Family, as per Savage's wishes, and while Lanny didn't have a typical Hall of Fame career, he had a helluva lot more claim to the honor than Drew Carey or Arnold Schwarzenegger. Only after being put on the spot by Steve Austin during the initial Stone Cold Podcast did Vince allow the Macho Man to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. While Vince is entitled to feel however he wants to towards the man, celebrating the Macho Man's professional accomplishments and achievements that helped form the backbone of Vince's success and current status should have been conducted with more class and respect to Randy Poffo than it was.
