7. David Otunga And Jennifer Hudson

David Otunga has played/done various roles in his 12 years tenure with WWE. He participated in the first season of NXT, he was part of The Nexus, he was amazingly a WWE Tag Team Champion with Joh Cena, he played off his real Harvard Lawyer degree and served as the ‘Legal Advisor’ for Raw GM John Laurinaitis, he was part of the SmackDown commentary team at one point and is now a panellist on WWE’s Kickoff Shows.

Detractors of Otunga’s have long held the opinion he’s been kept on WWE’s payroll for his dating life rather than his talent. For 10 years he was engaged to actress and musician Jennifer Hudson.

Talk about a disparity in fame. Her filmography reads ‘Dreamgirls’ and his reads ‘Celebrity Ghost Stories’. It’s hard to fathom Jennifer’s Oscar and Grammys next to Otunga’s Slammy Awards and Pro Wrestling Illustrated ‘2010 Rookie of the Year’ nod.

In November 2017 Hudson and Otunga announced their split after a decade together. Jennifer essentially accused Otunga of trying to freeload off her success during their relationship - an allegation he denied. Court documents revealed that she demanded he get a job with Otunga claiming he still worked for WWE to the surprise of everyone.
