10 Times Wrestlers Had Incredibly Fragile Egos

6. Hulk Hogan Is Gutted At The Hall Of Fame

No grappler was ever as big as Hulk Hogan, and while that may very much true, Hogan himself believed it - and his belief wasn't limited to just the pro wrestling arena.

Hogan was Elvis Presley, Arnold Schwarzenegger and, quite literally, Cliff Burton. The idea that any wrestler could be as big as he was rankled with him, and this was written all over his face during the 2006 WWE Hall Of Fame ceremony. Even before first ballot inductee Bret Hart ripped the piss out of him, Hogan looked livid as Steve Austin, introducing Bret, threw a challenge Hogan's way. The street-clothed ultras who descended on the black tie ceremony, upon seeing the two legends share the same stage, chanted "Austin/Hogan!" repeatedly. Austin smiled, and quipped that he had a can of whoop ass backstage with Hogan's name on it.

Hogan meanwhile was absolutely furious. He was seething. Perhaps because his name went up second on this impromptu marquee as an opponent of Austin's? An equal? It didn't work for the Hulkster, in any event. The man had a face like a smacked arse.

And because it wasn't Brooke's, he was doubly upset!
