10 Times Wrestlers Hit Their Finisher In A TV Show

9. Booker T - Charmed

As Booker T. Huffman, WCW stalwart Booker T made a 2001 appearance in the third season of The WB’s supernatural ‘drama’ Charmed, The WB’s long-running attempt to remake Buffy The Vampire Slayer without the application of talent, intelligence or effort.

But Booker wasn’t the only WCW talent in the episode. In ‘Wrestling With Demons’, the three protagonists, heroic demon-slaying witches, are forced to fight evil wrestlers to save the soul of an old friend. Yeah, you read that right.

Buff Bagwell makes an earlier appearance kicking the ass of some nameless skinny bloke, while Scott Steiner joins Booker in the centrepiece, an unconvincingly choreographed and shot wrestling match against the ‘Charmed Ones’ themselves… an odd decision, given that Steiner and Booker were in the middle of a long-running feud over the WCW World Heavyweight Championship at the time.

It’s… not good. No one comes across well here (as the actress said to the bishop), not even veteran actor Ron Perlman as the main demon bad dude. Steiner does most of the talking (doesn't he always?), but Booker is the one that gets to show off his scissor kick finish midway through the scene.

Charmed? No, I'm afraid not.

Originally broadcast in February 2001, this episode represented one of the last appearances of all three men on television as WCW talent. Weeks later the WWF bought out the ailing promotion. Bagwell didn’t have what it took, while Booker went on to become a genuine WWE Superstar. And Steiner? He decline-ah.
