10 Times Wrestlers Told You They Were FINISHED

6. Demolition Ax (1990)

CM Punk
WWE

Huge credit to the delightful IANdrew Dice Clay on X for bringing Ax's lovely hair back into the conversation long before it became a sign at a WWE Premium Live Event and the man himself was asked about it for formal confirmation.

The Demolition man was finishing up with the company after several years and three strong reigns as a Tag Team Champion, and though he was going out on his back and in extremely basic fashion, he was doing so with the least menace he'd ever portrayed.

With no obvious tan, minimal detail on the face-paint and most notably no sparkly product on his hair slicking it back, Bill Eadie looked more like he was dressing up in his old gimmick to entertain some children for a big day out rather than attempting to get the better of The Ultimate Warrior, Texas Tornado and The Legion Of Doom. Which, based on how he was squashed in the Thanksgiving tradition, was pretty much what happened.
