10 Times Wrestlers Went Too Far

4. Roddy Piper's WrestleMania Blackface

Some wrestling moments, like a great many things in life, haven't exactly aged all too well in the years since they were first unleashed onto an unsuspecting audience.

And among the many pieces of WWE television to be thoroughly scrubbed from the record when the time came to reappraise Vince McMahon's library for its Peacock arrival, Roddy Piper's infamous use of "blackface" during his feud with Bad News Brown which led to a bout at WrestleMania VI was quickly yanked from the service in recent times.

Despite Piper going on record to claim that "there’s no racism in (him) at all" when talking about the decision later down the road, the fact the overall idea was dreamed up by "The Hot Rod" and McMahon without much input from Brown tells a story of a moment that ironically had "bad news" written all over it from the get-go.
