10 Times Wrestlers Were Too Silly For Their Own Good
1. Owen Hart
Bret Hart may be considered one of the best wrestlers to ever grace a WWE 20x20, but his younger brother wasn't too far behind in terms of skill.
Although Owen Hart might have benefited from being directly associated with his brother early on, WWE decided to introduce its audiences to the sibling by hiding his face under a mask and calling him 'The Blue Blazer.' Hart would have opportunities to show off his technical fortitude, but overall, he was a lighthearted mid-card act under the superhero gimmick.
Hart was treated a little more seriously as part of the Hart Foundation, but still, he continued to job out around the mid-card whenever he wasn't making future main eventers like Steve Austin nearly break character with lines like "Disqualify me, ref! Disqualify me!"
Nevertheless, WWE would continue to have Hart serve more comical purposes and bounce back to casting him as 'The Blue Blazer.' If he weren't so funny both in the ring and backstage, perhaps WWE would have treated him similarly to his older brother. Still, despite winning just about every other major championship, Hart was never pictured as a main eventer by the sports entertainment juggernaut.
