Paul Heyman has proven himself over and over again as a master of his craft - said current craft being getting both his client Brock Lesnar and any willing victim his 'Beast' is booked to face over before the big fight. His abject refusal to do just that for Jinder Mahal should have clued the 'Modern Day Maharaja' into how his month would go before their intended Champion Vs Champion Survivor Series scrap.

The October 23rd 2017 Raw was the chosen location for his total castration. Under the looming shadow of what everybody else was thinking, he still put it best, noting that; "This same someone is now sitting up at night plotting and planning how to survive the potential title challenge of AJ Styles. Meanwhile, Brock Lesnar has eaten through the single most stacked heavyweight division in the history of WWE. But you, Jinder Mahal, the 'Make-Believe Maharaja'...you're not Brock Lesnar's equal, you're not Brock Lesnar's contemporary, you're not Brock Lesnar's counterpart on SmackDown Live, you're not even a worthy pretender to the throne of being WWE Champion".

He was right, and even WWE knew it. With just weeks to rebuild a belt and a feud with Brock, the company shockingly put the belt on AJ Styles and left it there a full year just to remove the stink of one of their biggest ever errors with it.
